Pay Scale: SCP 5-6 £25,583-£25,989 (FTE) £5,967.40- £6,061.84 (Actual P.A pro rata)

We run an after-school club 3:20pm-5:20pm Monday to Thursday during term time, the club is very much part of our community.

We are looking for a leader who could run all or some of the sessions Monday – Thursday.  There are usually around 10 children between the ages of 4-11 across the 2 hours – some for both hours, others for the second hour after they have been to one of our sports or specialist clubs.

A typical session might include games, den making, dressing up, crafts, drawing, reading, Lego, playing outside, puzzles, games, homework time, listening to stories and music – and the capacity to develop what is on offer to suit and engage the children in the club.

What we offer:

  • The opportunity to work with brilliant children who are caring, enthusiastic and friendly with a strong sense of our community’s values in all they do.

  • A warm welcome with support, guidance and encouragement to create a brilliant ‘after school’ offering in our school.

  • Attractive renumeration

You will have:

  • Enthusiasm and curiosity, care and warmth, humour and calm, energy and playfulness.

  • The potential to work on a self-employed basis.

  • Childcare experience, whether as a childcare professional, teacher, teaching assistant would be an asset, though a vision and ambition for creating a nurturing and child-centered after school space in our community is essential.

Benefits of working for the Bath & Wells Multi Academy Trust include; a generous pension scheme, enhanced sickness and parental benefits and a supportive working environment.

The Bath & Wells Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS and all relevant pre-employment checks.
